Important Notice Regarding Children's Privacy
Sweet Diggie Doo is a children's entertainment brand. Our website, sweetdiggiedoo.com, is directed to children under 13 and is therefore subject to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), as amended by the FTC's 2025 Rule amendments effective June 23, 2025.
Our email subscription service and all website features that collect personal information are intended exclusively for parents and guardians aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Children may view our content, but all account creation, email signups, and data submission must be completed by a parent or guardian.
1. Operator Information
This website is operated by Helicopter Tail Studios LLC. For all privacy-related inquiries, contact us at:
Helicopter Tail Studios LLC
Email: hello@sweetdiggiedoo.com
Website: sweetdiggiedoo.com
2. Who This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors of sweetdiggiedoo.com. Because this is a child-directed site under COPPA, special protections apply to any personal information collected in connection with this site. This policy explains our practices for both adult visitors (parents and guardians) and our commitment to not collecting information from children under 13.
3. What Personal Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum personal information necessary to operate our services:
From parents and guardians (18+): We collect email addresses submitted voluntarily through our subscription signup form. Submission of this form constitutes confirmation that the subscriber is 18 years of age or older.
From children under 13: We do not knowingly collect, request, or store any personal information from children under 13. Children may view freely available content on our site without providing any personal information.
We do not collect: names, physical addresses, phone numbers, geolocation data, photos, videos, audio recordings, biometric identifiers (including fingerprints, facial recognition data, voiceprints, or genetic data), government-issued identifiers, or payment information through any form on this site.
4. How We Use Personal Information
Email addresses collected from parents and guardians are used solely for the following purposes:
Sending notifications about new Sweet Diggie Doo episodes, content updates, and announcements; sending our newsletter and member communications; and notifying subscribers of our Sweet Paws Club membership program when available.
We do not use personal information for targeted advertising directed at children. We do not use personal information to build profiles of children or to engage in behavioral monitoring of children.
5. Third-Party Disclosure and Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for targeted advertising purposes.
We may share personal information with the following limited categories of third-party service providers solely to operate our website and communications:
Ghost Pro (site hosting and email platform): Our website is hosted on Ghost Pro, operated by Ghost Foundation. Ghost processes subscriber email addresses on our behalf to deliver member communications. Ghost's privacy policy is available at ghost.org/privacy.
Payment processing (future): If and when a paid membership tier is introduced, payment processing will be handled by Stripe. No payment information is stored by Helicopter Tail Studios LLC directly.
These service providers are contractually prohibited from using your information for any purpose other than providing services to us. We do not share personal information collected through this site with third parties for purposes unrelated to operating our services.
Parents and guardians who subscribe may consent to our collection and use of their contact information for communication purposes without separately consenting to any third-party disclosure beyond what is necessary to deliver those communications.
6. COPPA: Parental Rights and Consent
Because this is a child-directed website, COPPA gives parents and guardians the following rights with respect to any personal information collected in connection with this site:
Right to review: Parents may request to review any personal information we may have collected in connection with their child by contacting us at hello@sweetdiggiedoo.com.
Right to delete: Parents may request deletion of any personal information collected from or about their child by contacting us at hello@sweetdiggiedoo.com. We will delete such information promptly upon verified request.
Right to refuse further collection: Parents may request that we stop collecting or using personal information associated with their child at any time.
Right to consent separately to collection vs. disclosure: Where parental consent is obtained for the collection of a child's personal information, parents have the right to consent to that collection and use without separately consenting to disclosure to third parties, except where such disclosure is integral to the service.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at hello@sweetdiggiedoo.com. We will investigate and delete any such information promptly.
7. Verifiable Parental Consent
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, and therefore our primary COPPA obligation is to ensure our collection mechanisms are limited to adults. Our email subscription form includes an affirmative representation that the subscriber is 18 or older.
If we ever introduce any feature, content, or service that would require collecting personal information directly from a child under 13, we will implement verifiable parental consent procedures as required by COPPA before doing so, and will update this policy accordingly.
8. No Targeted Advertising to Children
We do not serve targeted or behavioral advertising on this website. We do not use or disclose any personal information collected through this site for the purpose of targeting advertisements to children. We do not knowingly allow third-party advertising networks to collect personal information from child visitors to this site.
9. Data Minimization
We collect only the personal information that is necessary to provide our services. We do not condition participation in our free content on the provision of more personal information than is reasonably necessary.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
Purpose for which information is collected: We collect subscriber email addresses solely to send notifications about new Sweet Diggie Doo content, newsletters, and member communications, as described in Section 4 above.
Business need for retention: We retain a subscriber's email address for as long as the subscription remains active, so that we may continue to deliver the communications the subscriber signed up to receive.
Deletion timeline: We delete a subscriber's email address within 30 days of unsubscribing, of a verified deletion request, or of the subscription otherwise becoming inactive, whichever occurs first. Subscribers may unsubscribe and request deletion of their information at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send or by contacting us at hello@sweetdiggiedoo.com.
We do not retain personal information indefinitely, and we use reasonable measures to protect information from unauthorized access or use during the deletion process.
11. Data Security
We maintain a written information security program appropriate to the size, nature, and scope of our operations and the sensitivity of the personal information we collect, which consists solely of parent and guardian email addresses. This program includes reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
Our website is hosted on Ghost Pro, which maintains its own security program and infrastructure. We do not store subscriber payment information directly.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
This site may use essential cookies necessary for the site to function, including session cookies used by our hosting platform. We do not use tracking cookies, behavioral advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies that collect personal information from children.
Ghost Pro may set cookies necessary for member login and subscription functionality. These are operational cookies, not advertising or tracking cookies.
13. Links to Third-Party Sites
Sweet Diggie Doo content is distributed through YouTube (youtube.com/@sweetdiggiedoo). YouTube is operated by Google LLC and has its own privacy policy and terms of service, which govern data collected when viewers watch our content on YouTube. We encourage parents to review YouTube's privacy policy and Kids & Family settings before allowing children to use YouTube.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the site following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Attorney Review Notice: This privacy policy has been drafted to reflect COPPA requirements including the 2025 FTC Rule amendments effective June 23, 2025. It should be reviewed and approved by a qualified attorney before this site goes live to the public, particularly with respect to verifiable parental consent mechanisms and any state-level children's privacy laws that may apply in addition to COPPA.
